About The Author
Adriane P. Borgias, MSEM, CHMM, has over 35 years of experience as an environmental professional in the industry, consulting, and state and tribal governments. She specializes in finding consensus solutions that will improve and protect natural resources, air and water quality. A co-editor of the first and second editions of Hazardous Materials Management Desk Reference, she is also a contributor to Women in Chemistry and Physics and has been profiled in Northwest Women in Science. Ms. Borgias has a BS in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MS in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco. She is a Fellow of the Institute and has been a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager since 1986. In 2010-2011 she was awarded a Fulbright-Nehru Scholarship for Environmental Leadership and was stationed in Bangalore.
